Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary

The Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1978. It is located in the Sidhi District of Madhya Pradesh. It has predominantly dry deciduous mixed forest. There are various tourists attractions both in and around the Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary like the The rock paintings of the ‘Goura Hillock’ and other wildlife sanctuaries. Two suits are available in the sanctuary for accommodation along with a forest rest house. Major Fauna at the Sanctuary include Leopard, chinkara, cheetal, sambar deer, wild boar and black buck. Although the sanctuary does not have a resident population of tigers but once using the sanctuary as corridor to pass through can be seen at times.

Tiger, Leopard , Chinkara, Cheetal ,Sambhar ,Wild Boar ,Black Buck, etc. As bird life in the sanctuary is good Bird watchers can enjoy spotting many birds without much restriction than that at national parks.

Tendu , Dhawda, Khjair, Lendia etc.

BEST SEASON:

November to June is the best time to visit the sanctuary.
